TRANSFORMING PAIN INTO PURPOSE
Who We Are
We are John and Christina Bernard, a husband-and-wife team whose lives were forever changed by three words: “Stage 4 Cancer.”
What began as a journey through fear and uncertainty became a powerful testimony of faith, healing, and transformation. Christina, a Stage 4 cancer warrior, chaplain, and motivational speaker, and John, a behavioral health and substance abuse counselor, have dedicated their lives to helping others find strength, peace, and purpose in the midst of life’s most difficult battles.
Together, we founded Crushed2Christ: a ministry devoted to empowering individuals and families to walk through the valley of illness, loss, or transition—and emerge stronger, more faith-filled, and anchored in hope.

What We Do
We combine faith-based cancer care coaching, emotional wellness counseling, and motivational speaking to inspire hope and resilience.
Through one-on-one coaching, small group sessions, and workshops, we guide clients to:
-
Find peace in the process of healing
-
Strengthen emotional and spiritual resilience
-
Reconnect with purpose and faith
-
Transform pain into power

Our programs are informed by our own lived experiences and the City of Hope Cancer Center’s training program – Journey of Hope Cancer Care Ministry, allowing us to bridge the gap between faith, compassion, and practical emotional support.
Why We Do It
We do this because we’ve been there.
We’ve walked the long nights, faced the hard diagnoses, and clung to faith when everything felt uncertain. Through that journey, we discovered that healing is not only physical—it’s emotional, spiritual, and relational.
Our purpose is to help others discover that same healing power of faith, hope, and love—to remind them that even in life’s darkest moments, light and purpose can rise.

Prayer Journal
Christina and John Bernard’s new book is a heartfelt guide to finding strength and peace through prayer during life’s most difficult moments.
Written from their own journey of faith and healing, it offers encouragement, scripture-based reflections, and hope for anyone facing illness or uncertainty. This inspiring resource reminds readers that prayer is not just a ritual—it’s a lifeline to comfort, courage, and divine strength.
